So apparently the OnStar telematics will watch over you for “Hard Braking” and “Hard Acceleration”. I suspect this could be used as a method of judging your track work, using golf scoring (Lower is better).
On the plus side, 8MPG for putzing around a road course isn’t too bad. I kind of wish it also kept track of high lateral G events.
